Savannah teaching Payton and Gybson bad habits .....

So after gymnastics we decided to all go eat at Jason's Deli. The girls were being so good ... We decided to give them some ice cream cones. (side note: Payton actually ate the ice cream ... she is doing so good at trying more foods lately). Anyway ... we were all chatting while the girls were eating and we notices that Savannah was using her crayon has a spoon and dipping into her cone and then licking it. We laughed at her for a little bit and joked about crayons being "non toxic" and next thing we know ... Payton started doing it. Then Becky says "Gybson is too smart to do that" and not 5 minutes later ... Gybson is doing it. Moral of the story ... Savannah is going to be the bad influence of the group and will be able to talk the girls into whatever she wants.... hehehe.

The girls ---- they are just too cute!!!! Notice Savannah is the only crayon licking one at this point.

Now look at them ... they just crack me up!!!!!!! All of them dippng the crayons in their ice cream ....

I am oh so proud!!!

Fun at the lake!!!

On Sunday we went to the lake with Rachael, Steve and my dad. My mom was so kind to watch Payton so we didn't have to bring her ... We just rode around the swam ... it was a nice relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Rach and I
Steve ... I put this here just because he said I don't want to be on no blog!!! hehehe.
While we were swimming by the dam lake we saw some smoke in the distance and had no idea that a 2 million dollar boat (Yes ... 2 Million Dollars) went up into flames at Party Cove. Went we went by Party Cove later in the day ... this is what we saw. All I can say is "OUCH" and I hope you have good insurance :).

busy busy days!!!

This morning started out with a TX Tots birthday party for Savannah and Sofia. The party was at Liz's rental property club house .... just one word (AMAZING). They have the coolest kiddie pool and community center. We always have so much fun when we go there. Nick took the day off work and joined us for a little while. We swam, ate cake and played to celebrate the girls turning 2.

Swimming with Daddy!!!!

After the party we went home for naptime ... Payton was so worn out that she slept for like 3 hours. Once she got up we met Julie, Christopher, Becky, Chuck and Gybson for some Chuck E. Cheese fun. I know that we were just there the other day but I was telling everyone how much fun we had that they all wanted to go too. Of course Payton loved it again.

The girls with Chuck E. Cheese. Gybson LOVED him and was following him around the whole place trying to get him to pick her up ... Payton would stare at him but that was just about it. No love for the big mouse!!!

Hawaiian Falls Waterpark

We took Payton to Hawaiian Falls waterpark for the first time this season. We knew that she was going to have a good time, but I just never thought she would have as much fun as she had. She rode all the littles slides at least 100 times each. Brittani knew some of the lifeguards and they even let her down the big slides. I was alittle scared at first ... but like always Payton proved me completely wrong. She was would go underwater and jump up and say "Whoa ... Alright ... Again, Again" She just amazes me everyday with some of the things that she does ...
My and my sweet baby.... well sweet toddler!!!

My two favorite people!!!!

Sunday at the Shams

On Sunday we decided to go to McKinney trade days with my parents. It was pretty hot outside and we were babysitting Gybson ... not sure why we decided to torture ourselves but we did. Gybson was wonderful the whole time but Payton was a whole different story. She was hot and didn't want to sit in the stroller. She wouldn't let you even touch her without getting all pissy ... needless to say ... it wasn't the smartest idea we had.
After trade days and naps, we had the Consers and Caneys over for dinner. We had a great time and the kids play so good together!!!

A very busy mommy and daughter day!!!!

Payton and I had a really busy day on Saturday. We started the day off with swim lessons. Payton just loves the water and we has a blast swimming and playing with her friends. After swim lessons, Payton and Gybson, thought the lockers were the coolest toys ever... They couldn't get enough of climbing in them, closing the doors, opening them ... etc.
Payton and Gybson playing in the lockers!!!
Once we left swim lessons, we ran to the mall to check out Nordstroms Anniversary Sale. I didn't get much that was on sale ... but I found the newest crocs (croc bottom and the top looks like vans) ... oh so cute!!! Of course Payton NEEDED them ... hehehe. We then made a couple more stops and once we were done shopping and running errands, I decided to take Payton to Chuck E. Cheese. This is the first time we have ventured into Chuck E. Cheese and she LOVED it. She played for like 2 hours and when we left, she was crying saying "Mama no go, Mama no go". This place was perfect for her and we can't wait to go back again!!!
Playing at Chuck E. Cheese
Once we left Chuck E. Cheese, it was naptime ... yeah for naptime. Payton had played so hard all morning and afternoon that she slept for almost 3 hours. When she woke up, we decided to head outside for some finger painting and playing in the sprinkler. We had a wonderful day together ...
OH NO ... my fingers are dirty~~~

The sweetest picture yet!!!

I just love this picture ... my sweet little princess!!!!!!

2 year checkup

We had Paytons 2 year checkup yesterday and the Dr. said that she is just perfect. OK well she may not of said that out loud but I know she was thinking it ... heheheh. Anyway her stats are:

Height: 33 1/2 inches - 30 percentile
Weight: 24 lbs - 15 percentile
Head: 18 3/4 - 50 percentile

So she seems to be right on track for her ... she did drop some in the height area but gain a tad in the weight ... all and all ... we are very happy with her progress.

We also discussed her achievements thus far. Payton can count to 12 without any help, she now knows the letters in her name, knows about 12 shapes, can tell the names/sounds of most animals and she is starting to listen so much better. The Dr. loved to hear all of this and said that she is really ahead of the game. I guess I never realized how ahead she was until the Dr. told me that she asks if your child can count to 3 at 3 years old. Wow ... I guess my baby is a genius!!! hehehe.

We do have a lot of problems and we are way behind when it comes to eating though. This has been such a struggle for all of us. She only eats about 8 different foods and will not even taste anything else. We have let her get away with this for a while now b/c we have been afraid her not eating at all and losing the little bit of weight she has. But now that she is 2 years old and she understands what we are saying we decided that its time for this pickiness to end. The Dr. told us that we could try it 2 different ways ... 1. bribe her to eat with her favorite treat (m&ms), let her have one for every bite of fruit or veggie that she takes or 2. stop giving her any of the only 8 foods she currently eats and eventually she will get hungry enough to eat something new.

We are still undecided on the method we are going to use but tonight I did bribe her to eat a tiny tiny bite of watermelon. It was so funny ... first it took me about 5 minutes to convince her it wasn't going to kill her and that it was worth some m&m's. Once I finally got her to take the bite ... she instantly started gagging. She sat there gagging the whole time it was in her mouth and Nick thought she was going to throw up all over the highchair. I was laughing hysterically b/c it just go to show that she is my baby. I have that same gag reflex when I even think about putting some food in my mouth that I don't like. Anyway ... SHE DID EAT THE ONE PIECE OF WATERMELON!!!!!!!! Its the most fruit we have gotten her to eat since we stopped eating baby food ... hopefully I will be able to convince her to eat more in the very near future ... Wish me luck!!!!

Happy Birthday Savannah!!!!!

After swim lessons this morning we were off to Savannah's 2nd birthday party. They had it at Prosper Bounce House and we had a great time!!! Payton is such a climber and went straight to the big bounce houses ... she even tried to jump down the slides like she does on hers. She was all over the place and had a great time playing with her friends. Happy Birthday Savannah and thanks for inviting us to celebrate with you!!!

Swim Lessons

Payton started her summer swim lessons this morning. She just loves the water and I think at this point the parent/child class might be a tad boring for her... she wanted to go underwater and jump off the side of the pool to Nick ... but was supposed to be just kicking and blowing bubbles. The problem with this is that she still doesn't listen all the time and isn't mature enough for the next age group. So we will stay with the parent/child class for now ... we have friends in there and we still had a great time!!!!

Bathtime fun!!!

I am not sure how smart I actually am letting Payton color on the bathtub ... but the bath crayons looked like so much fun!!!!! She LOVES them ... now I just hope she doesn't think its ok to color on things in the rest of the house :)

Happy 4th of July!!!!!!

Happy 4th of July everyone!!! It was a beautiful day to celebrate our country and freedom!!!!!! We are extremely blessed to be Americans ... we live in such a beautiful country with diversity, culture, pride .... I could go on and on!!! We decided to celebrate the day at the Liberty on the Lake festival. We had a wonderful time ... Payton loved swimming in the lake and of course she made some fast friends to play with.

This was Payton's first time to see the fireworks and she LOVED them ... she was sitting in my lap yelling "ready, set, go ... Kaboom" over and over again. Once they were over she was saying "please more, please more" over and over again. We didn't get home until about 11 PM and once we got into the door she pointed to her bedroom and said "bed please" ... so so cute!!!

Our home for the day!!!!

What a Oxymoron

So last night I was leaving work and I noticed that they put a new NO SMOKING sign right next to the ashtray in the grass ... and I just couldn't help but to laugh. I mean ... a no smoking sign and a ashtray .... hmmm. Anyway I thought it was so funny that I just had to take a picture of it ... and right as I was taking the picture, people started walking out of the building. I looked so stupid but just kept giggling and took the picture anyway..... hehhehe.
