So Payton is finally learning to be gentle the doggies and they are really starting to like her .... Check out the video of Payton and Missie playing ... her laugh is so contagious.

So Wonder Pets just came out with some new toys ... and of course Payton had to have them. When we first opened the package of one of them ... we thought "well ... this was a complete waste of money .. its a dumb toy." Little did we know that it would be Paytons toy pick of the weekend. Anyone that has been over knows that Payton has mass quantities of toys ... but this weekend all she wanted was the wonder pets one. When we left the house she even had to take it with her in the car. I am not sure why she likes it so much ... but watch her ... she LOVES it!!!! I just wish I knew what she was saying when she was playing with them!!!!

Good Bye Sofia and Isabella

Our friends, Sofia and Isabella, are moving to Orlando, FL. We met them through Texas Tots and we are really going to miss them. On Thursday, we had lunch and a playdate to say good-bye to them!!!!

Moms Night Out

Last night we went bowling for our Moms Night Out to celebrate March Birthdays. I had so much fun ... even though I lost :(. I am so thankful for these women and I can't imagine how incomplete my life would be without them. I think that people come into your life at various stages for a reason. Some will stay with you forever and some will come and go. I definatley think that I have made some friends here that will be apart of our lives forever. Thanks for the good times ladies!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!!!

Well ... Today is my bday .... 32 years old. Wow ... I am getting old. Anyway ... I showed up to work and this is what I saw.... Thanks Rachael and Emily!!!!!

They did a wonderful job making my office nice and shiny ... and I laughed so hard. It definitely started out my birthday on a great note. Anyway ... I only worked a 1/2 day today and went to lunch with Rach, Emily, and Nick .... then came home and took Payton to a play date. We had a great time and it nice to see so many friends on your bday.

After playing with our friends, Payton and I went home to play with Daddy. We were out front playing with sidewalk chalk and doing front rolls .... look how good Payton has gotten at them... she is just so cute!!!!

After we played outside ... Nick cooked me my favorite dinner ... such a good husband. To wrap it up ... it was a AWESOME birthday. Tomorrow night I am going bowling with the girl to celebrate also!!!!!

The Weekend ... Easter!!!!!!!

Happy Easter everyone!!!! I hope that everyone got to spend some quality time with the ones you love and had a nice relaxing day. Easter morning started out for us with Payton waking up REALLY early. She started climbing out of her crib, so we turned it around and removed the bumper pads. Payton doesn't use a pacifier during the day but we keep them in her crib to soothe her if she wakes at night ... but with the bumpers gone ... the pacifiers all fell out. So ... at 5:00 am ... she woke us up screaming. She must of had a bad dream or something and couldn't find a pacifier to go back to sleep .... so she screamed. Anyway ... we got up ... she found her Easter basket and went through it one by one. She is so funny ... I think it took her a hour to get though the whole thing. Luckliy after a hour or so ... she went back to bed for a little while!!!! :)

She LOVES m&m's ... they are the only sweet she really likes at all. She was so funny ... she was stacking the candy containers and then counting them ... she would get so excited and clap after she finished counting them .... such a smart girl.

Once she emptied her basket ... she found other uses for it!!!!

After nap time ... we went over to my parents house to spend the afternoon with my family. The kids got goodies and had a Easter egg hunt. It was a really nice afternoon and Payton loves playing with her cousins.

I have another Easter egg hunt video ... but I figured I have made you all suffer through 2 already so I won't post another one!!! hehehe.

The Weekend ... Part 1

Boy we had a busy weekend ... by the end of it, I was so warn out I could barely get up for work. It started on Friday night. We decided to have our friends, The Glasses, over for dinner. Savannah and Payton LOVE to play together and the rest of us could use a night well ... kinda out. So we decided to have a cookout. We had a great time!!!! Thanks guys for coming over!!!!

Also ... somewhere along the way, Payton has already learned how to climb up the gyro sphere. I am not sure how or when ... but ... oh my ... I turned my back and she was more than 1/2 way up it. I told you she is a gymnast!!!! hehehe.

Payton can count to 5!!!!!!!!

So Payton can now count to five. It stated as a game that Payton would play with grandma and now she can actually do it!!! I am so excited ... my little girl is so smart!!!!! Anyway ... of course I got it on video!!!!

Caden Evans

Last night we went over to visit the Evans family. They just had a baby at the end of Jan. and we went over to see him. He is so absolutely adorably precious... are those words. hmmm ...



Anyway ... I wish I would of gotten more pictures to share but I was too busy loving on him to think about pictures. Mandy also looked AWESOME!!!!! Congrats and we love you!!!!!

Texas Tots Easter Party

Yesterday we had the TX Tots easter party .... we had so much fun. Payton is growing up so fast and is just so much fun to watch. We had the party at our friends, Alicia and Savannahs house. They have a HUGE backyard and Payton was in heaven. She ran and ran, kicked the balls, rolled around in the dirt (literary) .... she was covered. We also had another easter egg hunt and wow ... she sure picked it up quick. This time around she knew exactly what to do ... and man she did it. She would grab like 5 eggs at a time ... it was so funny. Each kid got 12 eggs ... so once she would walk away ... I would throw most of them back on the ground.

We both had so much fun ... I just love this group of girls and they make both Paytons and mine week complete. We have made so many wonderful friends and I can't imagine them not being apart of our lives. So those of you reading this ... THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Easter Egg Hunt

Today was the city Easter Egg hunt. We decided to give it a try ... thinking that Payton wouldn't really participate. We practiced at home but all she would do was pick up one egg, show me, and say "ball" ... then she would proceed to play with that one egg and leave the rest. Our friends Julie and Christopher met us up there for the festivities.

I was pretty impressed with the way the city did the hunt this year. I am not sure how it has been done in the past but it was very organized and the treats for the kids were very age appropriate. For example, Payton was with the 2 and under group and they hunted snack size bags of cheerios, animal crackers, gold fish, teddy grahams, etc. There wasn't much candy and I at least appreciated that.


Anyway ... on to the hunt. Payton was a star ... you should of seen her go. She got the hang of it super quick and started grabbing 2 and 3 and a time before dropping them in her basket. Check her out!!!!

After we hunted eggs, we let the kids run. They played and ran around for a good 1 1/2 hours. They had so much fun ... Payton kept chasing Christopher all around. We were hoping that running them around that much would get them to take a really good nap ... b/c we sure needed it.

St. Patricks Day Party

On Friday afternoon, we had the TX Tots St. Patricks Day Party. It was such a beautiful day ... 85 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. The party was held at a park so the kids could run around and enjoy the wonderful day. We had such a good time and it was so nice to get a break from all the work I have had to do lately. Of course Payton loved seeing all of her friends and being outside to run like crazy.

Payton loves to act silly ... and lately the only way to get her to look at the camera is to trick her into it. When she sees the camera, she just looks down and focus on anything but it. So this was the only way I could get her to take a St. Pattys picture with the backdrop.

Payton is actually starting to try to play with the other kids. They say that they parrallel play until about 2 - 2 1/2 ... but I am starting to notice her following her friends around and acutally playing with them. I am so excited about this!!!!
