Just one of those days .....

Have you ever had just one of those days where you just can't seem to get a break and nothing seems to go right ... well this was the day for us.


To start the day off ... Nick gets a call that they are going to change his shift at work ... right now he has the best shift ever and of course once they move him, he will have to start working every Sunday and every other Saturday :( ... this is pretty upsetting as Payton and I have gotten so used to him being around and we were getting spoiled. I let him pick if he would go back to nights or stay on days and he did decided to stay on days and that's good news!!!


Then this morning I hosted the June babies birthday party for our moms group and although the kids seem to have a great time ... I was in a pretty lousy mood. I am a planner by nature ... its who I am and what I do. I hate to depend on other people because it seems that when you do this ... they never come through for you. I spent hours making hula skirts and putting all of the stuff together to make this a great event and all I asked of the other June moms was to help with the food. Well ... we ended up with only about half the food arriving, no one coming to help set up and the other moms helping to clean up. I was to say the least very irritated. I know that not all moms are as anal as I am about everything being perfect ... but c'mon people ... how hard is it to bring the one little thing that you were asked to bring since you were supposed to be helping host this event. And the to top it all off ... my keys disappeared ... WTH!!!!! Now Nick has to sit around all day tomorrow waiting on the Locksmith to change all the locks in the house and we have to get both cars locks changed out too ... what a huge pain!!!!

I did manage to get some good pictures of Payton at the party though ...





After the party and naptime ... we decided to go take the jetski to the marina ... mind you that Nick just picked it up today from the shop ... and we dropped it in the water and it started ... and then stopped ... ggrrrr.... So now its back to the shop again. Hopefully this will all be warranty work and we will get reimbursed for it all, but we will have to wait and see.


Needless to say .. I am really glad that this day is coming to a close and I hope not to see one like this for a very long time. I am back to work tomorrow ... oh joy ... Goodnight all!!!!
